It Would Be Beneficial For Me To Get MT Training
My spouse had a change in salary last year which had a tremendous effect to our household budget. I am interested in becoming a medical transcriptionist (MT) because it is a lucrative career that is showing continual growth. I believe that there will be more medical hospitals seeking external medical transcription companies to outsource work. Also, if the Health Reform bill is passed in Congress, I believe that this will increase the need for medical transcription jobs which will increase the need for more people to train in this industry. Therefore, it would be beneficial for me to get MT training now so that I will be knowledgeable and experienced.
My ultimate goal is to start medical transcription work at home part-time and eventually full-time. As we have seen the changes that has occurred in job employment due to the economic downfall, no job is secure or guaranteed. It is better to be prepared and have other sources of income in the future or obtain positions that will be in demand. As we know, currently there is a demand in the medical field and especially in transcription services. There are several things that motivate me to get into this industry. Firstly, I would like to have additional income to support my daughter when she goes to college in 2 years, be able to pay off debts, and go on vacations. I also enjoyed processing data entry in previous positions and did very well with speed and accuracy. Some advantages of working in the MT industry is the flexibility of having a home based business, gaining more experience and becoming knowledgeable in the medical field and having the ability to travel and spend time with family. I am interested in training with Future MT because I have researched a few companies that provide medical training that did not have any employment guarantees. I like the fact that Future MT considers this an asset and want you to succeed and be successful. What I consider to be some benefits of Future MT is the job guarantee, mentoring, and the time frame to complete the training. I am aware that most companies want to hire experienced MTs, but it appears that Future MT has the resources to get you employed much quicker. My future career goal in the next 2-4 years is to start an MT business which will allow my daughter the opportunity to work in her field and earn money while in college and employ others that may need additional income or seeking a position in medical transcription.
