Lets start off with some of the low hanging fruit or lower benefits but still very nice benefits, for instance you do not have to pack a lunch anymore for your child, you do not have to go into your childs room at six thirty in the morning and try to get them motivated to get dressed and get ready for school, you do not have to read off all the normal things you tell your child before you send them off to school.
Moving on to some of the more important benefits of homeschooling your children. supervision over the things that can happen at public schools that could directly affect your children~Things that could possibly happen at a public school that would affect your children are a thing of the past when you choose homeschooling}. One of the most important reasons in my mind is the fact that you now have total {control of the development of your children~What i believe to be one of the most important benefits of homeschooling is that you the parent become in authority of how your child is developed~Gaining command of your childs development is one of the best benefits of homeschooling that i can see}. You are the only one that will make the choices as to what you think your child needs to learn or do and will no longer be something that you do not have a lot of visibility to. Being able to decide the homeschool curriculum that best fits your childrens learning needs and/or the interests of the child is probably one of the best benefits of homeschooling.
The average ratio of children to students in most schools is approx one teacher to twenty students. So one of the other benefits of homeschooling is the one on one attention that your child will recieve. Ok, Karen needs more work in math, all you have to do is add more time to math and maybe less time in english or whatever you choose as there is not any set class times for teaching a subject like there is in most of your public schools. What this means is your child will be able to put more hours into a subject that they need more help with without being pressured. Remember that the time it takes for a child to learn a subject will depend on the every different child.
What happens next is a wonderful thing, the learning of your children now becomes kind of a total family activity where the family becomes involved in just about all steps of the learning curriculum. Another thing that you will really love about homeschooling your child is you get to take them on field trips where you will both learn and have a wonderful time, and you will be doing experiments with them, which can be very interesting, but all then this also equals you are spending much more “quality time” with you child and i believe that this also brings a family much closer.
Another one my biggest benefits of homeschooling is your children do not have to deal with any negative peer pressure that you find in most all our public schools today, and your child does not have to compete to prove the abilities that he/she has as the competition is very low when homeschooling and your childs confidence will remain high. One of the great things you see in a great teacher is someone who knows how to keep a childs interest and keeping them moving ahead, and because you know your child better than anyone you will be able plan your childs sessions to keep them interested and moving ahead. One of my most favorite things to do with my children every once in a while is afeter a couple of hours on one of the tougher subjects take them on a field trip to place that they could learn about with in the subjects they are studying and with this the child is having a lot of fun but is also learning.
Lets be very clear about one thing and that is that the way a child learns or what i call a childs learning style can be at two ends of a spectrum, for instance some children learn quite well by reading, where another child might do well writing, and there are those visual kids who like to see it in action, so they need to see an object. One of the geat benefits of homeschooling that we are hearing from a lot of home school moms and dads is you now have total control of what your child is being taught when it comes to things like morals and religous beliefs, there will no longer be that confusion that most children fight with when they see the things that they are being taught at home as far as things like i mentioned earlier, but by homeschooling you child now see’s both what is beaing taught and also what is being practiced in the childs enviroment.
in todays world the parents of school age children are becoming very dis-heartened with the public schools system. When it come to public schools most people are on one of two sides, some believe that the child is not getting enough of an education, and the other side which is those that believe the child is getting overworked in scool. Other heavy issues that parents are worrying about are the ehtics and discipline that are being taught in public schools. There are many many reasons that parents are choosing to homeschool these days and i believe that homeschooling is the best way for a child in todays world to learn, but remember this requires a lot of your time, so dont start it unless your positive that you have the time so it will benefit your childs education.
